Each December we are decking the halls of the Children’s Advocacy Center with wonderful Christmas decorations that delight the kids that come through the front doors. They love to find their favorite “Therapy Dog” on the Christmas tree and cannot wait to fill out their Christmas wish lists.

It is a simple thing to find a way to put a gift under a tree. It is also a simple thing to communicate to a child that they have worth by showing simple acts of kindness, listening, and assuring them that tonight they will be safe. It is our desire that every child that walks through our door will know that there can be hope after abuse and that “they” are survivors with an incredible story to tell and they, not us, are the heroes of the day.

Our Christmas Wish Program is being organized by our Family Advocates. Each year our Family advocates work to ensure that our kids that are in need receive a winter coat, shoes and a set of warm clothes. The kids can also provide a wish list for three (3) items, valued at $20 or less, or one (1) item, valued at $60. Individuals and businesses from across Johnson County can request a “Wish List” to fill.

Ready to Help Make Christmas Brighter for a Child?

Please call the center and check with our Family Advocates about our Christmas Wish Program if you would like to sponsor a child. No donation is too small and every donation is gratefully accepted.
