Christmas Wish

Dear Friends,

We are once again decking the halls of the Children’s Advocacy Center with wonderful Christmas decorations that delight the kids that come through the front doors. They love to find their favorite “Therapy Dog” on the Christmas tree and cannot wait to fill out their Christmas wish lists.

It is a simple thing to find a way to put a gift under a tree. It is also a simple thing to communicate to a child that they have worth by showing simple acts of kindness, listening, and assuring them that tonight they will be safe. It is our desire that every child that walks through our door will know that there can be hope after abuse and that “they” are survivors with an incredible story to tell and they, not us, are the heroes of the day.

We strive each year to provide each of these courageous children three gift wishes. Sometimes we are unable to grant the wishes their heart most desires but we can help to make sure they get that special toy or gift that may be on their list, and we can offer a safe place for them to come where they are cared about and hugs are in abundance.

In order to grant these Christmas wishes we ask our staff, team and Board all to contribute personally and to help shop for kids. Your donation along with funds raised by our staff and team and other donations help us to purchase a dreamed about toy or special item. Your generosity also helps to buy food for Christmas meals, and to fill stockings they receive from Santa at the Center’s Family Christmas Party. If you can donate in anyway our Family Advocate can give you more information concerning a families wish list and needs. You may also donate cash or small gift cards. No donation is too small and every donation is gratefully accepted.

Thank you for making this Christmas a little merrier for the many children we serve.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Sincerely,

Tammy King
Executive Director
